Healthy & Yummy Breakfast Ideas

Hey guys! It's Violet, and today I'm going to share some of my favorite nutritious and delicious breakfast ideas with you.

  • Scrambled eggs: Eggs are filled with protein, so they are great to have for breakfast if you have to stay full for a long time. I mix two eggs, salt, pepper, and a little bit of milk together with a whisk. Then, I put them in a pan, greased with a little bit of butter, on a medium heat. Use a spatula to move them around as they cook. When they are done, I like to serve them with a little bit of hot sauce for a zing of flavor.

  • Banana, peanut-butter, and granola bites: This meal will have a little bit of everything, fiber from the granola, protein from the peanut-butter, and potassium from the banana. First, peel a banana and cut it into quarters. I like cutting it once the short way, and once the long way. Then, take your peanut-butter and spread it on the flat side of each banana piece. Then take your granola and sprinkle it on top. I like using the Kashi Go Lean Crunch, Honey Almond Flax Cereal, because it's packed with protein and fiber.

  • Yogurt and berries: This meal is the simplest of them all! All you have to do is spoon some vanilla, greek yogurt into a bowl. Then, add fruit of your choice. I like using blueberries and raspberries. If you want to add a little crunch, add some granola on top.

Those were all of my breakfast ideas. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. Tune in tomorrow, September 2nd, to see healthy lunch ideas, using leftovers.

5 Easy Steps to Being Organized

Hey Guys! It's me Violet, and in this post I will be sharing some tips with you about how to be organized...and how to stay that way! ( :

  1. Sort your junk! Find enough plastic storage bins or other boxes to store your stuff, then divide the "junk" into two (or more depending on how many boxes you have) piles. One pile should be for garbage and the rest of the piles should be for each of your containers.
  2. Use labels! Once you've sorted your miscellaneous items into containers, you will want to be able to locate your items next time you need them. Make labels simply by using a label maker, or cut out small pieces of paper and write things like "Art Supplies" or "Hair Accessories" on them.
  3. Put away your clothes! Clothes and shoes are the main thing that clutter up my bedroom, so make sure that you try to clean up/put away your clothes ASAP. Have a designated place to put dirty laundry when your done wearing it. When you get dressed or change clothes, put away the dirty clothes or the clothes you decided not to wear in the right place instead of tossing them on the floor.
  4. Put the same item back in the same place every time you clean up or put something away. If you do this, you will most likely be able to remember where you put something. If you change the location of an object every time you put it away, it is less likely that you will be able to find it easily the next time you need it.
  5. Make lists and schedules! Using a planner can help you keep track of the small tasks that you have to complete as well as bigger events. I use a "Green Room" planner. For each month, it shows you an overview of the complete month, then of each week. There is also a section for notes with each month.

Those were all of my tips to being organized. Hope this post helped you!

Tassie's New Book Recommendations

Tassie's New Book Recommendations

1# The Hunger Games

I just got the Hunger Games books for Christmas and I just finished the first book a few days ago.  This book is about a girl named Katnisss.  It starts out on a day called reaping day.  On this day the district picks two tributes to compete in the Hunger Games.  Katniss's sister twelve year old Prim was picked to compete.  I don't want to spoil it by giving away more but, I hope you get a chance to read this book.

2# The Dark is Rising

This book is about a boy named Will who lives in a house with his mother, father, and many siblings.  Will's 11th birthday is coming up and strange things are happening, and nothing seems normal.  Animals are acting weird and so is the weather.  This is a good book if you like scary but not up all night scary.  I highly recommend this book to all kids, though.
